This kit is for the P40 owner who is replacing the entire manifold section of a Comet P40 and its diaphragm pump: the collector (the manifold that bolts over the cylinders), the regulator, and the o-rings and related parts that go with that job.

P40s are gas systems: the kit is made for the gas engine Comet P40 and its diaphragm pump.

Tools you'll need

  • 13 mm and 14 mm sockets
  • 13 mm and 14 mm wrenches
  • 6 mm hex key
  • #8 Phillips screwdriver

Good to know

  • The old regulator comes off (4 screws) and is not reused.
  • Keep the 12 bolts that hold the old collector on: they mount the new one.
  • Make sure the o-rings and pistons stay inside the cylinders when the old collector comes off.
